Pictures of Guinness's pups @ 1 week

Guinness's pups are also doing really well.  She is such a proud Momma.  She beams with pride when I spend time with her and her puppies.

Pictures of Cassonade's pups @ 2 weeks.

I apologize to all in advance that I am not a better photographer.  I try.... that is all I can offer.  I'm trying to hire a professional, but am not having any success.   They are cuter in real life!

All of their eyes are open and they are beginning to walk.  They are quite agile.  Everyone continues to grow well, I think the largest (yellow collared cream girl) is 660 grams.  The smallest (red collared black girl) is 425 grams.

Photo of Guinness's puppies

The pups are doing well.  The Vet will be by this evening to check everyone over.   We now have some pups available.

Guinness had her babies!

Guinness delivered 5 beautiful babies.   There are two chocolate/tan phantom females, a black/white parti male, and one solid black male and a solid black female.

Pictures to follow tomorrow.

Everyone continues to gain nicely.

All of the pups have gained 100 grams.  This is pretty good considering they weighed between 200 and 300 grams when born.  That is a 33% to 50% weight gain in 5 days.

I'm going to need to buy a bigger bed tomorrow.....

48 hours old

The pups are all gaining weight nicely - a key indicator of good health in the early days.  Cassonade is doing better today.  Yesterday she wasn't well so we took her (and all the pups because she can't be away from them) to the Vet.  The blood tests revealed she is anemic, so we have her on an iron supplement.

8 Beautiful Puppies!

We are thrilled with our 8 beautiful Cassonade/ New Beginnings Pups.  We have 4 cream girls, 2 black girls, 1 cream boy and 1 black boy.  The Vet came by and gave everyone a clean bill of health.  Momma is doing super well - hard to believe she just birthed such a large litter of pups.

Cassonade's pups are here, still waiting on one more....

Cassonade has delivered 7 beautiful healthy pups.   Unfortunately, one pup was born dead.  We know she had at least 9 so there is one more still to come.  Although we won't be packing up on its arrival as who knows how many were on that x-ray?!

We have 3 cream girls, 2 black girls, 1 cream boy and 1 black boy.   The pup we lost was a black boy.  We will have a little recognition for him and bury him in the forest behind your house.   I feel fortunate that I've delivered so many litters with so many pups and never lost one before.

Here is an early photo after only a couple had arrived.

Rosie's family reports she is drowsy

We had three successful matings with Rosie and Zip!  And Rosie's guardian family is reporting she is already appearing drowsy, which means that conception has occurred and her body is starting to provide for the little ones.  Our ultrasound is booked for the end of March to get a first count of numbers.   I'm really looking forward to this litter.

Rosie and Zip matings are going very well!

We've had two successful matings (Sunday and Tuesday) and hope to have one last mating tonight.  We have Rosie's ultrasound booked for March 27 to get a first head count.  Here are some photos of Rosie's last litter.  Click on the photo to enlarge it.

Cassonade x-ray

We counted 9 for sure, maybe more, it is hard to count with such a full belly.  They should be here any day.

Luna has a home!

Luna has found a lovely guardian family.  Not only will she have a dog sister, Abby (chocolate lab), she will be living across the street from her littermate Leila!  How awesome is that!!  Congratulations to Carrie-Ann, Steve, and Abby.
